Frequently Asked Questions
What is RareAngels?
RareAngels is a new way to get help directly to individuals and families facing hardship. We're starting with rare disease, and our first program is a free one, beginning in Arizona.
Who can apply?
Individuals and families facing hardship, starting with rare disease. You can apply for yourself, your child, a family member or someone you care for.
Does it cost anything?
No. Applying is free and help is free. We will never ask you to pay to apply.
Is acceptance guaranteed?
No. Space is limited while we start. We review every application and will contact you about how we may be able to help.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No. Many families with rare disease wait years for a diagnosis. Tell us briefly what you're facing; a short description is enough.
Do you provide medical, legal or financial advice?
No. RareAngels does not provide medical, legal or financial advice, and we don't replace your doctors or care team.
Is this for emergencies?
No. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or call 911. Our application and messages are not monitored for emergencies.
What do you do with my information?
We use it only to review your application and contact you. We never sell it, and mobile numbers and text opt-in data are never shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
Will I get text messages?
Only if you opt in on the application. You can reply STOP at any time. See our Terms & SMS Terms.
Is there an app?
We're working on it. Accepted families will hear from us first.
Is RareAngels a nonprofit?
RareAngels LLC is a company. Our sister organization, RareStorm.org, is a nonprofit supporting rare disease research and families.
