Our Story
RareAngels was started by a parent.
Like many families touched by rare disease, ours learned firsthand how much a family can carry at once: the appointments and the waiting, the uncertainty, the costs, and the long nights. We also learned how much it means when people show up, and how often people who want to help simply don't know how.
Along the way we met other families going through the same thing. Many had less support than we did. Some had none. The help that existed was often hard to find, slow to arrive or not built for what a family actually needed that week.
That experience stayed with us. RareAngels is our answer to a simple question: what if getting help to a family in need were as simple as it should be?
Our work also grew out of years of supporting rare disease research and families through our sister nonprofit, RareStorm.org.
We're just getting started, and we're building this with the families we serve, carefully and with care.
